Labour Relations & Employment Law

At Anderson Sinclair, our approach to Employment Law first stresses the importance of prevention.  For employers, this may mean having new employees execute Employment Contracts at the legally appropriate times, delineating the employee/employer relationship so that the parties understand clearly in advance their rights and their responsibilities. We also assist employers with preparation, strategy and negotiations of collective or indivudual agreements.

For employees, this may mean reviewing a proposed Employment Contract with a lawyer practicing in the area of Employment Law and actually negotiating its terms before signing.  Such simple steps can make a world of difference throughout an employee’s tenure and in the event of employment termination.

Where prevention is no longer an option, our Employment Law specialists will work on your behalf in an attempt to swiftly and practically resolve disputes where reasonably possible.  If faced with unreasonable demands or unreasonable proposals from an opposing party, we are equally comfortable and confident about pursuing enforcement of your rights through firm, yet fair and respectful advocacy.  At Anderson Sinclair, we recognize that it is our privilege to be granted the opportunity to relieve our clients of their Employment Law issues and burdens.  We will, consequently, treat the opportunity accordingly.

We offer our clients the latest information on legislative changes and training in all aspects of labour and employment law, in addition to well-reasoned and timely advice in the following areas:
