Aug. 1, 2012 : Mr. Sebastien Leblond, managing partner of the Quebec office of Anderson Sinclair, is proud to announce that Mr. Jacques P. Dupuis has elected to join the firm as strategic adviser and counsel to the Montreal strategic litigation team. After a successful career in politics, Jacques P. Dupuis is back in the private sector. Jacques has served as a Chief Leader of Staff of the Government House in 1994, House leader of official opposition in 1994 and 1995 and leader of official opposition in 1995 and 1996. He was elected Liberal MP in Saint-Laurent in 1998. He was the Government House Leader from April 29th 2003 to February 21st 2007 and December 18th 2008 to August 9th 2010. He was the Minister for the Democratic Reform Institutions in the cabinet Charest from April 29th, 2003 to February 18th, 2005. Then, he was successively the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Quebec from April 27th, 2004 to February 18th, 2005, Vice-Prime Minister from February 18th 2005 to April 18th, 2007, Minister of Justice of April 18th 2007 to December 18th 2008, Minister responsible for Canadian Intergovernmental Affairs and the Reform of Democratic Institutions from December 18th 2008 to June 23rd 2009 and Minister of Public Safety in February 18th 2005 to August 9th 2010.
